About Us

Our History

Our Savoiur Lutheran church originally was located at 23800 Lahser Road in the city of Southfield Mi. Then it was known as Southfield Apostolic Lutheran Church and was built in 1960.

Pastor Elmer Liimatta served as pastor there for 40 years. After Pastor Elmer retired the congregation decided to move the church to another location to serve the Lord Jesus.

The church in Southfield was sold and services were held at a Chapel in Westland until the land was purchased and the new building was built at the new location on 8 Mile Road on the corner of Currie Road.

First services were held in 2002 and the church name was changed to Our Saviour Lutheran Church of Northville, MI.
